Family Planning/Reproductive Health and Wellness

Family planning services are not just for females anymore! Reproductive health information and services are equally important for males. Family planning for males and females is available on Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 9:00 am (limited services) and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 10:00 am (full services) by appointment at 419.734.6800.

Goals of the Clinic

The goals of the Ottawa County Family Planning Clinic include:

  • Preventing and Controlling Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
  • Preventing Unwanted Pregnancies
  • Promoting Responsible Motherhood and Fatherhood

    • Contraceptive Creams
    • Depo-Provera Injections
    • Diaphragms
    • Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive - Nexplanon, Intrauterine Devices (IUDs)
    • Natural Family Planning
    • NuvaRing
    • Oral Contraceptives
  • Clinic Fees
    • Charges are based on services provided. Most insurances are accepted. The client may apply for a household income assessment and fees for services may be reduced based on income. Donations are encouraged and accepted. The program is supported primarily with Federal grant funds from the Ohio Department of Health.

    • Blood Pressure (BP), Weight, Height and Body Mass Index (BMI)
    • Breast Exam and Education in Self-Breast Exam
    • Pelvic Exam and Pap Test

    • Testing for Chlamydia
    • Other Tests if Indicated, Such as Hemoglobin and Urine Tests
